Review: Airzone Triple Shot
The Airzone Triple Shot is a Toys R Us exclusive, and because of that it is a bit overpriced, at $20 minimum.
First up is the blaster itself. It's obvious that it was designed for younger kids; the grip is somewhat small for my already small hands, and the stock is only useful for dart storage. It is suprisingly thin and lightweight, even when full loaded.
The plastic looks weaker than Nerf's, but Matt reports that his has lasted a year and counting. The stock attachment point is loose, and by simply bending the stock to the side you can remove it. All logos except for copyrights are done in stickers.
Next we have the ranges. This particular blaster gets 10-15 feet flat, and 15-18 angled. However, keep in mind that this is a shotgun, and is not meant for long range firefights.
Finally the modding and paint potential. Let's start with the paint. This blaster has many grooves and edges that were not painted by Air Zone. This blaster has a good amount of potential for painting. As for modding potential, I know a lot of you have seen the Quad and OctoShot. This thing packs a punch when modded properly.
Note: The following ratings are based on a blaster's class, and not based on every single gun out there.
Quality: 7
Reliability: 9
Mobility: 9
Ranges: 7
Potential: 10
