Modified Buzz Bee Ultimate Missile Blast

Hay its plopper. A couple of weeks ago i finished my mods to the UMB. But i didn't have time to post cuz i was busy. Well now im gonna tell you all the mods! It has a pvc coupler with removable rscb clip(i also have a single barrel capable of shooting missiles), e-tape under the o-ring. With a single barrel it hitted at least 130 FEET ANGLED!!!!
130 FEET. For example my longshot got 120 feet angled. 130 feet ppl. But the ranges dramatically droped one i used the rscb clip. Average ranges are from 80 feet to 130 feet. But 80 feet flat is good enough for me.

Airzone Powerstrike 48 Review

This is Tactical Nerf, Matt speaking. Recent reviews inspired me to review one of the best flywheel dart guns availiable today. Now, this is not your average noisy flywheel gun, It is a real monster in the right hands. It can get a minimum of 20-30 feet ranges, and maxed out to around 40. These ranges are stock, and they are pretty accurate monsters. 1 downside is that the barrel is almost all the way down of the blaster so the Iron sights may not be as accurate. Yet, this is a defense weapon, not really for the assaulting type due to the pump-action, yet semi-auto and automatics are more assault than defense. The stock is removable with the touch of a button located in the very front of the stock, and in the bottom is where the button is located. The darts are very strong, with a durable straw material stuck inside each dart, that and the solid tip, combined gives you pretty strong ammuntion. The darts really hurt so be careful not to aim at the face or any critical places in the body. The blaster can hold a maximum of 48 darts as it comes with. Pretty comfortable, very sturdy built, and runs on 3 AA batteries. The noise of the flywheels are not that shabby since it is meant to be heard, a.k.a. no for stealth. Anything else you'd like to know, please feel free to leave a comment. I would reccomend this blaster if you usually go for the defensive type. That is all.

The Punisher Gatling Cannon

Pics coming soon!

hey guys, is cake, and i have yet another TACTICAL REVIEW! So I'll be reviewing the Punisher Gatling Cannon from Air Zone! I found it at Toys R Us for 40.00. It comes with the whole gun itself, a belt, 30 air zone flat top micro darts, and an ammo box. I havent measured ranges yet, but I'll have them up soon. Basically no modding potential, as Drac had said before "Its better stock." The plastic is meh, mediumish strongish.

Power: 6
Reliability: 8
Mobility: 4
Rank: 5.5

I am heavy weapons guy, and this is my weapon. She weighs 150 kilograms and fires 200 dollar custom cartridges at 200 rounds per minute. It costs 400,000 to fire this weapon, for 12 seconds. lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QM1eTAwOYc

The Raider CS-35

The Raider Unloaded.
The Raider with given Drum mag.
Raider with Regular Clip.
Jam door open.

Hey guys is cake! Back with another TACTICAL REVIEW! I'm gonna be reviewing the NERF Raider CS-35! This gun is available at Target and Toys r Us for around 30.00$. It comes with the raider, the clip, feeder thing, the stock, 35 darts usual, value pack 100 streamlines, and the drum mag. Ranges are meh, 25-30 feet, but has modding potential to go up to 60. Nerf usually uses good, strong plastic, so I would say it does have strong plastic.

Nerf Longstrike.....REVIEW!

Yup i got it! and i gotta say this gun is a nice one. I didnt test ranges yet and will tomorrow but they look decent so far.

First of all this gun is really comfortable to hold and its really solid, i just love it.

Next is ranges. Like i said i didnt test them yet but they look pretty decent after the reviews i've read.

Mod potential/paint potential. People say it needs to be modded to be useful but i dont think it does. With a good paint job this blaster would look awesome. Pics (From Google)

Overall i really like this blaster.

AirZone Twin Tek 10

Front of Gun
Side View

Didn't expect a post that fast, huh? So, I'm reviewing the Twin Tek 10s. At Toys R Us, its usually 20.00$, and comes with 20 darts and 2 Tek 10 blasters. It says on the site, Shoots 20 feet, and i got 20-25 feet flat. I would say this gun has good modding potential, as it has a rotating barrel thing, and it seems to be made of strong plastic, it's survived for 4 years.

Review: Vulcan EBF-25

The Vulcan is a Light Machine gun from Nerf. It usually costs around 40-50 dollars and runs on 6 D batteries.

First up, the body. It's meant to be fired at the waist, since the pisol grip is at the very rear. The carrying handle is perpendicular to the gun itself. Firing it like a SAW does not feel right, as the grip is too far back to hold the barrel comfortably. The barrel is ridiculously wide; I am able to fit 3 whistlers at once. This causes the majority of jams for me.

Next we have the attachments. The ammo belt seems a bit short, at 25 rounds. This is not that good, as Light Machine guns are supposed to be able to suppress the enemy for long periods of time. The ammo box is very useful, allowing greater mobility, albeit with a longer reload time. The tripod is a nice feature, and is removable.

The ranges are not very consistent, and I did not feel like measuring because of that. The accuracy is also sub-par, but for an LMG this does not matter.

Last, we have the modding potential. As this is a Light Machine Gun and meant for suppressing fire, ranges do not matter. This is more of a fear weapon, and Voltage and Aesthetic mods increase the fear output. This gun has lots of potential if you're good with wiring and painting.

I'm ditching the number system. Umad bro?

Buzz Bee Ultimate Missile Blast(6)

Hay guys. Its plopper. I just went to Target today and i saw the missile blast. So i decided to pick it up and check it out. It comes with the gun itself and two glo-missiles that glow in the dark. The gun is just a re-shelling of the big blast, but with a smaller tank and pump. The box claims to go 30ft and it achieves that. To me thats bad. The gun was on clearance for $7.40 but usually cost about 8.00 dollars. It can connect to the snipe blast, rapid blast and another missile blast and the berserker. The gun has alot of modding potential. It feels comfortable, very well bilt, strong plastic. If you see this in stores, i would pick it up and mod it.

Review: Airzone Triple Shot

Pictures coming later.

The Airzone Triple Shot is a Toys R Us exclusive, and because of that it is a bit overpriced, at $20 minimum.

First up is the blaster itself. It's obvious that it was designed for younger kids; the grip is somewhat small for my already small hands, and the stock is only useful for dart storage. It is suprisingly thin and lightweight, even when full loaded.

The plastic looks weaker than Nerf's, but Matt reports that his has lasted a year and counting. The stock attachment point is loose, and by simply bending the stock to the side you can remove it. All logos except for copyrights are done in stickers.

Next we have the ranges. This particular blaster gets 10-15 feet flat, and 15-18 angled. However, keep in mind that this is a shotgun, and is not meant for long range firefights.

Finally the modding and paint potential. Let's start with the paint. This blaster has many grooves and edges that were not painted by Air Zone. This blaster has a good amount of potential for painting. As for modding potential, I know a lot of you have seen the Quad and OctoShot. This thing packs a punch when modded properly.

Note: The following ratings are based on a blaster's class, and not based on every single gun out there.

Quality: 7
Reliability: 9
Mobility: 9
Ranges: 7
Potential: 10

If you feel I was wrong about some of my ratings, feel free to drop a comment below.

Announcement

Just a quick announcement. My custom blaster posts have been moved to my personal blog, Shadow Nerf. I'll be posting all of my custom works, armory updates, and possibly war stories there. I'll still be posting regularly on Thursdays here. "Bless your face. If you sneezed during this article, bless you. Peace off." -Toby Turner

Protection

This is AidanWolfNerf, Matt speaking. How would you protect yourself in, let's say a battle situation. Would you take cover, go for the kill without protection or use armor? Yes I do mean armor. You can make your own, or buy one at the store pre-made. It will decrease the chances of yourself getting injured by a dart, and if you play with the armor as decreasing damage when you get hit, then I would gladly urge you to choose the armor. Sure you would take cover yourself, but would you rather take a shot protected or un-protected? I'd have to go with protection, sure you might think you would look rather, odd, but would you take a shot that wouldn't hurt as much or not? Darts don't really hurt stock, but what if they hit you in a critical spot like your eyes? That is why I say you would be better off with the armor. You could even make the armor yourself! some cardboard should do the trick, to repel the darts. Well, that will be all.

BREAKING NEWS: NERF VORTEX SPOTTED AT TOYS R' US

That's right. I didn't buy one though since they're ridiculously overpriced and I don't like the disc ammuntion.

raider pistol

hi guys its plopperfox. i just made a raider pistol and it is awsome!!!!!!!!!! everyone should make it. now it looks like a recon now. it gets the same ranges as a modded recon. to do it u need to look up a toutorial on youtube. to make it u need a dremal with a utility bit. a drill with a drill bit (5/32 or lower) a pin or some coat hanger( i used a priming bar from a LS front gun) epoxy and thats it. first u do all the internal mods like ar removal, locks, ect. then u look up a toutorial on how to do the pistol mod and ur done it gets 50-55 feet angled and 35 feet flat. if u have a raider turn it into a pistol. CAUTION: IF U R NRW TO NERF MODDING MOD SOMETHING EASYER LIKE A NITE FINDER. well thats all folks heres a some pics of the raider:

Custom blasters!

Hey guys Echo here and i have a few blasters  i want to share with you guys here on AWN. So i found some red paint and figured i should repaint my minimized strikefire while i was doing that i found my old pistol shell and painted that too for the fun of it.  The paint should be done drying soon, then i'll put some more coats on and do some touch-ups. I dont know what to call this blaster. I might call it the fanger so i'll have my own version of Drac's Fanger! If you have any name ideas for this black and red pistol drop me a comment below. Have a nice day! -Echo

Another 2 Player War

This is AidanWolfNerf, Matt speaking. I had another huge Nerf War today. I had also swan-off the stock of the Tommy 20 Automatic so it is like a Machine Pistol except for it's drum which is ir-removable. (yes machine pistols can use clips and drums.) In the war, my first weapons was the
Raider with Flipclip and a maverick. I was carrying so much stuff, a Big Holster for my Tommy 20 Automatic sawn-off, a small holster for my Maverick, the longstrike with bandolier, and a Triple Shot and Barrel Break in a bookbag. I was also using a helmet and protection goggles. I had the Vulcan as sentry gun. I was opposing a Powerstrike, a barricade, a modded maverick, (this was my friends modded maverick, not mine.) the Airzone 8 Shooter, the Airzone Arrowstorm, and the Recon. This was a big war indeed. I took 10 minutes just to clean the whole thing, maybe more. So anyways, we had 30 lives each and we had a second war which made this the biggest 2-player battle I've had so far. So I was at breaking point, 9 lives vs 25 lives. I had a bad start, I got sniped with the longstrike when we switched sides and weapons. By the time I was at breaking point, I had only a recon with 12-18 darts left in the raider drum. So I did a special tactic. While the opposition was firing the powerstrike while I was keeping my head down in the staircase. So as I was facing "heavy fire" in which I got hit in what, 1 shot..., I got on the floor where there was a sofa hiding me and giving me great cover to crawl and grab some Streamline Darts before I lost the war. By this time the opposition ran out of powerstrike ammo. The opposition now had the Vulcan since we switched sides and weapons. My recon was no match for Automatic-fire so I got my Last Chance to win. I prepared my Tommy 20 Automatic and my Barricade Rev-10 and went for last stand. He obliterated his barricade so he could get through and attack me so I dual wielded and I lost but I fired my shots Quickly before I lost so the opposition lost too. It was a very nice war, and I'm going to have another soon. That is all for now.
hi guys its me plopperfox. this is just a update post. ive got a barricade that im gonna mod it on wednesday cuz i want a good barricade. just a jam door removal and a lock removal. Also im gonna turn my raider into a pistol!!!! not today but tomarrow. look forward of those posts sometime on friday or thursday! (whenever i feel like it cuz im lazy right now).

Modding Advice: The importance of plunger head lubrication

Just a quick tip for modders. Proper lubrication on your blasters' plunger heads is vital. For example: After applying teflon tape under the O-ring on my Switch Shot, my ranges dropped to 25 feet due to the loss of lubrication. However, after a fresh coat of olive oil, I was able to get 35 feet flat and 45-50 feet angled.
